Art 10 Assignment #6 Art History Information Cube

Art Information Cube

The cube serves as a graphic organizer for deductive reasoning. specific ideas are written on each face of the cube. The six sides of the cube are used for:
1. A colored pencil drawing of a painting or sculpture in full
2. A colored pencil drawing of the focal point of the same art work
3. A written description of the painting or sculpture
4. A written background of the artist and his/her style
5. An explanation of the art period during which this art work was produced
6. A written interpretation of the art work.

Procedure:

1. Create cube outline on 18" x 24 " white tag following the outline below.

2. Prepare your written information as concisely as possible as there is not a lot of room on the cube. A word processor would make a suitable presentation, but neat hand printing will suffice as well. There is room for approximately 24 lines at 1/4 inch for each line (about 125 - 150 words). Please use care when folding not to blur written work.

3. Do all coloring and writing on the model before it is cut out.

4. Keep all dotted/folding lines crisp by scoring or carefully ending edges.

5. Use white glue in little dots to seal edges.
