2. 2x2 − 14x + 12 = 0
   
   First divide all terms by the common factor of 2. This results in the following equation:
   
   
    
   x2 − 7x + 6 = 0
   
   You  need the factors of 6 that will add together to make −7. The factors are −6 and −1.
   
   
    
   (x − 6)(x − 1) = 0
   
   
    
   x = 6, x = 1
