  1. “Your Turn” from “Example 3” on page 341 of the textbook
    1. The domain of the graph is {t|t ≥ 0, t ∈ R}. The range is {B|B ≥ 1, B ∈ R}.
    2. Since the y-value increases by 3 for every increase in x by 1, the c-value is 3. The exponential growth model that relates the number of bacteria, B, to the time, t, in weeks is B(t) = 3t.
    3. On day 1, there is 1 bacterium. The number of days it will take to increase to approximately 8 bacteria will need to be estimated. Based on what can be seen in the graph, 8 bacteria will occur between week 1 and 2 at about 13 d.
