   6. First write the function in decreasing order of exponents: v(x) = 2x4 − x3 − 4x2. The degree of the polynomial is even and the polynomial has a positive leading coefficient. The graph will start in quadrant 2 and end in quadrant 1. Substituting zero for x gives the y-intercept (0, 0).
