Physical Health

What does physical health mean to you?

It takes more than physical exercise to maintain good health.  Physical health relates to maintaining a healthy body and seeking care when needed. A healthy body is attained through exercise, eating well, getting enough sleep, and avoiding destructive habits (like tobacco, drugs, alcohol, etc.).  Physical health also includes paying attention to the signs of injury, illness, and getting help when needed.

Physical health has an impact on our overall wellness. When our body is healthy we are more equipped to handle stress and take care of the other aspects of our overall well-being.

This week we will focus on ways to enhance our physical health and practice some new stress management exercises. The activities will switch the focus into your body, giving the mind a chance to reset and become more centered.
