Art History

Introduction

We learn many things by just getting in there and doing it, and that is admirable. It is good, however, to sometimes take a look at how others have done what we are attempting. It is in this context that we will take a look at the history of art. We will take a linear approach to the history of art including many well known Artists. Art appreciation is by nature compromising and subjective and hopefully this next section of the course will help you refine your personal taste in art.

The following lessons will give you a whirlwind tour through the great moments in art history.
Art history requires the students to gain experience with the work of the artists.
