Module 6: Building a Support System in Your Job
Introduction
We spoke with long time village-based tribal health providers from several regions. We asked what helped them stay in their jobs for so many years. They told us that taking care of themselves was very important, just like we have been talking about in earlier modules. They also told us that building supportive, trusting relationships, and open communications with their colleagues has been the key to sticking with the job and getting through the hard parts. How to do that is our focus for this week.
