Overview
Introduction
This first module will provide the groundwork for you to successfully complete the BHA General Orientation Course. The following pages will show you how to navigate this site, which is powered by Moodle. Also, you will have the opportunity to see how this particular course is designed, some of the icons used throughout the course and their meanings, and the technical requirements that you will need to complete this online course.
Please take note of a few things before you begin:
Inside each module, you will find a “Lesson Menu” box on the right side of the screen. You can use this menu to navigate inside each module. |

Near the top of the module screen, you can click on the BHA Orientation tab to get to the main page. This allows you to get to the beginning of the course at any time! |

Near the bottom of the module screen, you will see a “Return to” button. Click this button and you will return to the front page of the course. |
Getting ready
1. If you have a computer that is 5 years old or newer you should have no problems! However, if your's is older than that, click on the 'Technical Requirements' link for a document you can take to your IT staff member. Technical Requirements
2. Click here to download a folder to your computer. Please save the file to your desktop. Once it is downloaded double click the zip file and it will open as a folder on your desktop. It will contain most of the files you will need for the course. This makes it easier to access and submit assignments and you will have a number of excellent resources that you can access once the course is complete.
3. Before you start work on this course, it is essential that you have access to the Behavioral Health Aide Manual (BHAM). You can email (behavioralhealth@anthc.org) to request a copy of the BHAM if you don’t already have one.
