Welcome to Math 30-1
Technology is a part of mathematics. Interactive learning objects are valuable tools for mathematical exploration, modelling and problem solving. The use of the graphing calculator and spreadsheets, with functions defined by the student, can be profitable in many contexts. You will be expected to take responsibility for your learning as you work both independently and in groups. Tasks vary from short procedural items, which will help you develop skills in the language of mathematics, to longer tasks that require you to test either subtle conjectures or apply mathematical knowledge to real-life problems.
